Recent Event Traumas

If you or a loved one have experienced a traumatic event such as a car accident, sudden injury or death and is experiencing nightmares, acute anxiety or inability to focus, it is important to seek help. Colleen is trained in "Recent Event Trauma Protocol" which can, in one to two sessions, greatly reduce these symptoms of trauma. This is most effective if done within three months of the traumatic incident.

“Trust is huge. I was lost after the motor vehicle accident. I trusted that my employer had made a good referral by sending me to you. This setting is very relaxing, and you are knowledgeable. I had a very peaceful, relaxed feeling here.” Tim went on to discuss EMDR more, “With medication, you’re not working through the problem; it seems more like a temporary solution…a Band-Aid. But with EMDR you work through the disturbing image and it helps you accept what you’ve been through and gives you peace of mind. EMDR helped me to accept what happened and to move forward past it.”

These “real life” experiences give her the ability to relate to her clients in a genuine, effective way.
"Finding Colleen was an answer to a prayer. My 18 year old daughter had depression and PTSD, I simply did not know how to help her. She started seeing Cal on a regular basis. I have watched my daughter transform into a confident beautiful woman. Seeing her smile and hearing her laughter again is the greatest gift a mother can have. The light is back in her eyes, what more can I say!!!" - A Mom
"I was at the end when I called for help. I had attempted to kill myself before and knew I would complete the task. Each day I would look at the trees, telephone poles while driving and the medication in the cupboard and other ways to end my life. My anger was out of control, the depression was so heavy. My family & friends no longer wanted to be around me. I could understand, I didn’t want to be around myself.
It was the phone call that changed my life. You taught me the coping skills that I so desperately needed to deal with all the problems I had buried so deep inside of me. After so many years of self destruction! I am proud of what I have been through, I carry my head high. There is no longer a victim but a survivor. I am happy for the first time in my life and look so forward to what tomorrow will bring." - D.
